Charlotte Kemp

Charlotte was Playmate of the Month for December 1982. Her pictorial was titled In Charlotte’s Web.

Charlotte was born Jan. 27, 1963, in Omaha, NE, during the middle of a snowstorm, according to the website for her book, “Centerfolds.” She is of German, French, Scottish and American Indian descent.

A successful athlete during her teen years, Charlotte was a swimmer in competitive 50-meter butterfly, 400-meter relay and 400-meter individual medley events. She was an AAU state champion for two years from the state of Iowa and a member of the Junior Olympic Team. She also played tennis in high school and college after breaking both her knees at age 15. She has been an avid skier since age 4 and has run marathons.

She is a 1979 graduate of Southview High School in Sylvania, OH.

Charlotte did some non-nude modeling for an art studio as a teenager, did a calendar in college and then got an agent. She reportedly got talked into posing for Playboy by her friend and roommate Jill DeVries. Charlotte was studying biology and psychology at Indiana University at the time.

Following graduation, Charlotte continued to model, appearing in such publications as Vogue and Cosmopolitan. She met a Formula One driver and moved to Europe in 1983, living in Monte Carlo, London and Sweden. She continued to model and acted in several movies. She also performed in several films made in Italy and Japan by Bandai Productions.

By 1990, Charlotte’s relationship with the driver had ended, and she moved back to the United States and settled in New York City. She continued to act in a few more movies. Her only lead was in the straight-to-video slasher movie “Posed for Murder,” as men’s magazine model and aspiring actress Laura Shea. She played a prostitute in the comedy horror film “Frankenhooker,” had a small part in “Repossessed” and had a co-starring role as Gayle in the comedy “Fairway to Heaven.”

Charlotte holds the distinction of being the first and only Miss Budweiser.

In 1991, Charlotte moved to Los Angeles and founded the company International Sponsors Limited, which specialized in corporate sponsorship for sporting events.. She formed the Running Playmates team in 1994. The team raised awareness and funds for organizations such as the Leukemia Foundation and P.E.A.C.E.

She had a short marriage in 1996, and now has a son.

Charlotte owned and served as president of CHK Productions, Inc., and created a health and fitness video for women over 40 entitled “Beautiful Body, Beautiful Life.” She also became a contractor in California and started an acid staining company called Fauxcrete by Char, which specializes in staining of concrete.

She attends Glamourcon and autograph shows throughout the country. For a while she had her own website, charlottekemp.com, on which she sold photos of herself, did chats, and nude webcams.

She published a book of poetry, prose and short stories, “For My Eyes Only,” in 2013, and wrote a book, “Centerfolds” in 2015, which was a collection of stories from 20 Playmates and five photographers.
