Alana Soares

Alana was Playmate of the Month for March 1983. Her pictorial was titled Winter Wonder.

Alana was born Feb. 21, 1964, in Redondo Beach, CA. Her father was Hawaiian-Japanese and her mother was Spanish-Irish. According to her Playmate of the Month pictorial, after her parents divorced, her mother moved with Alana and her younger city to Park City, UT, where her mother worked in a ski shop. She moved to Laguna Beach, CA, with her father to attend school, but returned to Park City to finish high school. She was a freshman political science major at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City at the time of her pictorial.

Following her Playmate of the Month pictorial, Alana and her younger sister, Leilani, posed together for the pictorial Playmate Sisters in April 1985 and the 1986 newsstand special Sisters. She also posed for a number of newsstand specials.

Alana appears in the music video for Cheech Marin’s “Born in East L.A.” and has a small part as a Playmate in the movie “Beverly Hills Cop II.”

According to “The Playmate Book: Five Decades of Centerfolds,” Alana got a degree communications and a minor in cinema from USC and married a football player. The couple had two children. As of 1996, Alana was working as a pharmaceutical rep and had plans to get a master’s degree in communications.
